Gallatin Turns Out in Droves for Square Fest 2025
Gallatin, Tennessee showed up in a big way this weekend! On Saturday, April 26, 2025, the streets of downtown Gallatin were packed with people, music, and smiling faces as the annual Square Fest returned — and it was bigger and better than ever. Hosted by Historic Downtown Gallatin, Inc., this favorite springtime event brought thousands of visitors from all over Middle Tennessee to enjoy one full day of local pride, fun, and community spirit.
This year’s Square Fest featured over 230 vendors and food trucks that lined the streets, offering everything from handmade jewelry and home decor to savory food and sweet treats. Organizations like Wilson Bank & Trust, the Sumner Prevention Coalition, Vol State Community College, The Goddard School of Gallatin & Hendersonville, Red Letter Roofing, Mullins Heat & Air, and Highpoint Health Sumner were among the many community businesses and groups that showed up to represent their work and give back to the city
Local Vibes All Around
One of the best parts of Square Fest was the local atmosphere. Music filled the air from local performers, giving the streets a cheerful and upbeat vibe. Families pushed strollers, friends shared funnel cakes, and neighbors ran into each other with hugs and laughs. Local musicians played familiar tunes while kids danced and adults tapped their feet along the sidewalks. It felt like the heart of Gallatin was beating a little stronger on this sunny spring day.
There were booths filled with handmade crafts, soaps, candles, woodwork, paintings, and other treasures made with love by local artists. Vendors said they were thrilled with the turnout and happy to connect with new customers and old friends alike. One vendor from Gallatin shared, “It’s just amazing to see how many people come out to support us. This is what community looks like.”
People even traveled from other cities to be part of the excitement. Jonny James, a resident of Brentwood, Tennessee, made the drive for the third year in a row. He picked up family members in Gallatin and spent the day enjoying everything Square Fest had to offer. “It’s a family tradition now,” Jonny said. “We look forward to it every spring.”
A Day for All Ages
Square Fest had something for everyone. Children enjoyed bounce houses, face painting, and games. Teens checked out the local food trucks, showing off their favorite eats on social media. Parents explored the vendor booths for unique gifts and treats. Grandparents enjoyed a relaxing day in the sunshine, smiling as their grandkids played and danced nearby.
Local schools, churches, and non-profits also took part, sharing information about their programs, holding raffles, and passing out goodies. The event wasn’t just fun — it was meaningful. Many groups used Square Fest to raise awareness for their causes, sign up volunteers, or just connect with the public in a fun, casual way.
Community Pride on Full Display
Gallatin is known for its strong sense of community, and Square Fest 2025 proved it once again. With free admission, the event was open to everyone. That openness brought together people from all walks of life. Whether someone had lived in Gallatin their whole life or just moved here last month, they were welcomed with open arms and friendly smiles.
Downtown Gallatin’s historic charm added the perfect backdrop for the event. The beautiful old buildings, local shops, and shaded sidewalks created a warm and inviting setting for everyone to enjoy. It was a reminder of why so many people love calling Gallatin home.
Historic Downtown Gallatin, Inc., the organizers behind the event, deserve a big round of applause. Their hard work paid off, and the community came together in a way that only Gallatin can. Events like this don’t happen without months of planning, dozens of volunteers, and a deep love for the town and its people.
Looking Ahead
If you missed Square Fest this year, mark your calendar for next time. This event continues to grow each year, and with such an amazing turnout in 2025, the future looks even brighter. Visitors left with bags full of local goods, full bellies, and hearts full of appreciation for their town.
As one attendee put it, “There’s no place like Gallatin. Square Fest shows just how much heart this town has.”
In a world that sometimes feels divided, it’s events like Square Fest that bring people together. Through food, fun, music, and connection, Gallatin reminded us all what really matters: community, kindness, and showing up for each other.
